The Lewis Carroll quote..

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree.

“Which road do I take?” she asked.

His response was a question: “Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know,” Alice answered

“Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”

I love this quote because I think it relates so much to life. Nobody knows where they will end up, but everybody is just traveling down roads and eventually it leads somewhere. You can always backtrack from end to beginning, but the end is unknown to us at this point in time.

I am praticularly fond of this quote because of its simplicity. Since Alice has no idea where she is going, it doesn't matter what road she follows. Both paths contain a destination. It only matters when you want to get to a certain, specific destination which path you take. In life, we can take the path that is known and comfortable, or we can take the path that is unknown and foreign. Either way, we end up at a destination. We spend the majority of our lives determining which path is right for us, and most of the time we don't have a clue if we are doing the right thing or not. We will constantly question and doubt the choices we make in the present, and whether or not if these are the right decisions for our future.

I really enjoyed this quote. I think it's very easy to relate to Alice and not always knowing which path to take because we don't always know where we want to go it life.

I love this quote, it has became one of my (many) favorites. It is easy for me to relate to it. It made me think that I do not always need to know where I am going. That maybe sometimes not knowing will take me to where I need to go.

i really like this quote. it's seems so simple at first but it can be pretty deep when looked at closely. it can apply to so many different situtions and it was interesting to see all the different connections people made with it in class.
